Breakfast

BBL (Breakfast Brunch Lunch) – www.bbl.me.uk
They make their own vegan link and lorne sausages in house and have a special vegan menu. The people that work there couldn’t be nicer too.

Big Meals

Nova Pizza – www.facebook.com/Novapizza-vegetarian-kitchen
A small but amazing vegan pizzeria just by Stockbridge. They have 2 whole pages of vegan options on their menu and they even have a vegan cheesecake.

The Auld Hoose – www.theauldhoose.co.uk
Check out their tower of vegan nachos but beware they are huge! So take someone to share with. They also do burgers, hot dogs and an all day vegan fry up

Paradise Palms
Vegetarian/Vegan American Soul Food. Think hot dogs, burgers and all the sides. Every Tuesday they do 2-4-1 on hot dogs!

The Himalaya Cafe
Tibetan food, curries, wraps and the #bestchaiintown. Not 100% vegan but they do some amazing vegan options.

Burger – www.burgeruk.co.uk
They have both a vegan burger and hot dog on the standard menu and at least one vegan option on the specials board too. Sadly their buns aren’t vegan so you have to pay an extra 35p for a gluten free/dairy free roll which is a little annoying. They also offer a vegan shake which is their sorbet of the day with soya milk or just a scoop or two of sorbet to finish your meal.

The Mosque Kitchen
It’s a canteen style place that offers large portions of lovely curries for a very affordable price. A single curry with rice is between £3.50 – £4.00 but you can get 2 or 3 curries for under £10… I’ve never got that far as one curry, rice and a naan is plenty. They make everything with olive oil so unless it’s got meat in (separate meat menu) it your good to go

Bread Street Brasserie
The first Tuesday of every month is Vegan night where they have an entirely vegan menu on offer. If you miss out though they have vegan options on the menu all the time so it’s a great place to visit when you have a range of dietary needs to take into consideration.

Something Sweet

Affogato – facebook.com/affogatoedinburgh
They have a range of vegan ice cream and sorbets that are all made in house. They now offer vegan waffles, home made vegan sauces and vegan cakes made by my own fair hands… so I’m a wee bit bias on that front.

The Chocolate Tree
Amazing vegan cakes and dairy free hot chocolate

Street Food

Land of Bour Bon – Patrick Square
All vegan simple street food like cheese toasties and fries as well as coffee and tea.

Tupiniquim – Lauriston Place
Brazillian crepes with vegan options both savoury and sweet.

Cafe’s

Pekoe Tea – www.pekoetea.co.uk

Artisan Roast – www.artisanroast.co.uk

Brew Lab – www.brewlabcoffee.co.uk
They offer vegan lunch options and sometimes have a vegan cake, but not always.

Black Medicine – http://www.blackmed.co.uk
They have tea, coffee and a selection of vegan smoothies. Personally I like the angry mangoes one. They also have vegan felafel wraps and other lunch options.

Lovecrumbs
Tea, coffee, natural sodas, stuff on toast, cakes… a whole range of stuff with vegan and gluten free options.
