While I was researching where to visit in Berlin I stumbled on Brammibals on Instagram. They are a 100% vegan doughnut shop/cafe so we had to see what all the fuss was about.
On our first visit we had a couple of doughnuts each as it’s so hard to pick just one. At the front we’ve got praline, at the back maple with cococnut bacon and in Leo’s hand salted caramel.
They were so good we had to come back twice more to try more flavours (they change every week) and also their savoury options.
When we saw they had a cheese toastie on the menu we just had to try it. Thick toasted fluffy white bread filled with oozing cheese and caramelised onion. Being in the land of mustard and pickles just a little addition would of taken it from nice to incredible but that’s just personal prefference.
Every time I see a new post from them on Instagram I’m desperate to go back but at the same time I’m glad I can’t as I would eat them every day and I’d be the size of a house.
On the flip side though right outside the door is the Turkish Market so you can eat all the treats and then stock up in fresh fruit and veg to balance things out
All these cherries for €2! It took us two days to eat them all but every single one was delicious. I wish we could get them this cheap and tasty in Scotland.
