Today’s just been one big meal with friends. We are so much at lunch I’ve not really had another meal, I’ve just picked at leftovers.
We had maneesh, vegetable balls, babagnouj, lemon and corriander hummus, pumpkin hummus, olives, gherkins, spice roasted pumpkin and for dessert some raw hazelnut fudge.
That’s made up a bit for my lack of veg the rest of the week but I still struggle with fruit. For some reason I struggle to eat enough fruit, I just don’t like it that much. I’ll happily drink fruit juice but anything beyond that, say a smoothie I can take or leave. I’d much rather have a plate of vegetables than a plate of fruit. This is something I need to change and work on though as fruit is an important thing to have in your diet.
Anyway… this has been interesting to document. It’s helped me see the holes in my diet and the areas I need to work on. I also hope that it’s highlighted that your food doesn’t need to be Instagram pretty all the time it just needs to be simple and good for you.
I’m kinda the opposite, I can eat enough fruit if I remember but I’m terrible at eating veggies.
